Headlight condensation

So my 2018 E class couple had condensation in the head lamps. It was repaired under warranty using the drill a hold and desiccant method.

Two years later it’s back. There’s a lot of dust inside as well the the condensation.

Funny thing is the right headlamp full beam is not working for a few months now. Being driving around with the error message:
”intelligent light system in operative”
“right dipped beam”

The light headlamp stays on for an extra minute after locking the car.

Have run out of manufacturing warranty. Don’t think they’ll fix the condensation issue despite their last fix only lasting two years. Reckon the poor fix condensation has caused the new issue?
Any thoughts?

Start by checking module(s) for corrosion:

Perfect! Thank you!

i’ve got the exact issue. Indy had it checked today and said the desiccant pack MB installed due to condensation in 2019 also has now caused excess water which in turn has messed up the electrics and the modules.

See at

tached

My Q now is, 2 years later and out of warranty will MB help rectify the issue their poor repair has now caused?

Hair dryer

Had the same problem on my SL63
contrary to popular belief, the headlights are not fully sealed and vent air so that water can get in and out.
solution is a hair dryer to heat up the air in the headlight which will drive out some of the air with some of the vaporised water in it. When it cools it sucks back in dry air.
you will probably have to do this 4-8 times to completely clear the water. It must be left to fully cool between heatings.
This will work- it’s simple physics.
