Top Discoloration
I have owned my car for three years and the top was discolored when I bought it. It looks like something happened when the top was down. In the pic, the top is dry and fully extended. These look like creases, but the top is tight with no creases. What caused this? What can I do to fix it? I want to waterproof the top and was thinking I should take care of the discoloration before that.

The top was probably lowered when wet and dirty. It probably stayed open for awhile and ground the dirt into the fabric. Good luck getting it clean.

Johnsons baby shampoo (the blue bottle) and a scrubbing brush is a good way to clean the roof. Diluted Miltons if there is any mildew to get rid of. Once clean then you can use a waterproofer which if required can be one with a dye in it.
