Cab top won't raise in the cold

Cab owners, I need your help.

I have a 2012 E550 Cabriolet. When the temp is below 65+/-, the top won't raise. The top goes down without an issue but when I try to close it, the tonneau cover raises up (slowly) but the top won't come up. If I park it inside, where it's warmer, for a while the top will go right back up.

Anyone else experience this or have any thoughts?

Does it make any noise like the motors turning?

Yes, motors are definitely making noise and the top will get to a certain point (I think determined by the temp) and stop. When this happens l am able to lower the top back down all the way.

When it stops, I've been careful to not keep trying as I don't want to risk burning out the motors and I can keep the car inside in a secure garage. Both times this has happened, after some time in a warm garage, I've tried again and the top goes up without an issue so I don't believe it's a motor issue.

Thanks for the suggestion but, unfortunately, the fluid level appears to be spot on.
