No Comand Display after replacing Comand Control Shaft

I removed the comand controller to replace the shaft. I had to move the car when it was disconnected and the screen didn't come on. I figured it was just because the controller was unplugged. I got it back together and put everything back, and still nothing on the display. I checked fuse 26 and it is fine. The radio plays and I can switch stations with the steering wheel controls, but no display. I held down the off button for 10 seconds to reboot the system and it rebooted but no display. Do you think it has to be reset with the MB tool? Any other ideas?

Found it. Fuse 11 for the display was blown. I checked 26 and 28 and they were fine.

I'm planning on an Android 10.25" screen CarPlay upgrade. If the screen was damaged, I'd have just ordered that sooner. The factory screens sell on eBay for less than $125.

display screen cooling...

make sure your cabin filter is not all plugged up by dirt (passenger footwell area).
The display module is externally cooled by air stream... it needs good air flow.

Display was ok until you worked on the shaft and powered the car with shaft disconnected... then display did not return, correct?

The rotary input wheel is the module named "COU", see if you got faults around there....

> Simply RESET Comand, Display and wheel modules faults with your scanner!
