Battery Reset

Do you have to do a battery reset on a 2014 A207 after a battery(s) replacement? If you have to reset, how do you do it? There are some new cars which have to this reset done or the batteries won't reach their lifespan.

Great question!
Actually the battery life management is done by the smart Hyundai sensor mounted on battery's NEG(-) pole. Once it looses power, your battery gets reevaluated as "new" again.

Doing this Reboot procedure helps reset the SAM modules that manage power for the entire car. You should *not* loose any settings such as radio, windows, computers... all good.

Feel free to research answers in the W212 forum...
