Distronic Front Radar Sensors
Good morning all,
Just bought an 2013 E220 AMG Sport CDI Auto.Just had the car servived by a mercecedes specialist and all good. Just one error came up. Fault on front Radar? I dont have ant lights showing on my dashboard and just wondering where these sensors are located and do they need to be cleaned and not sure if they have to be recoded? All I have been told is that it is not communicating with the unit?

You could check the sensor and wiring behind the big emblem on the grill make sure it is ok. Make sure the front emblem on the unit is nice and clear and the plastic not crazed and white as that might affect it. Other than that we would need a code to point you in the right direction. Did they pull any codes for the front SAM unit or anything else??

Make sure the front emblem on the unit is nice and clear and the plastic not crazed and white as that might affect it.

There can be multiple (3) radar modules up front...
Buy a scanner to retrieve fault codes yourself
