Occassional double beep - any ideas?
There is a house garage near me and sometimes when I go past there is a double beep and no message on the instrument panel. This also very occasional occurs when driving. Wondered if it is a mating call with another car. Anyone else have this happen and discovered what it is?

Thanks for the reply. However, subsequently I have driven past the house garage where it sometimes happens and it has happened once and not the other times. Each time I take the same line around the slight bend.

2012 E350 Cabriolet now SOLD to my son
possible interference from the garage /opener tempered by conditions or radar for distronic . I have seen it before too on my e350 A207. Even on Interstate. More time than not it is when a car goes by...

Goofy front radars
It sounds like your front side radars are sensing ghosts.
Mine used to do that at least couple times every week.
Run a full OBD scan, I bet you'll find "stored" codes.
MB likes to reference "antenna interference" instead of unstable modules. Xentry hints at calibration procedure and firmware update. Mine got none of that but quit the mad beeping as I addressed the deep discharge by voltage below 12V while driving... So displaying the ALT output while driving is a pretty valuable test.
Try to keep both hands on the wheel for a chance to counter any wrong steering moves.
