I am trying to replace my rack and pinion for my 2010 e550 coupe and It seems like they have two variations of rack and pinion for this car, one having speed assist and the other being without.

I'm interested as HELL in this question/answer..... I didn't know there were two kinds of steering so I don't know which one I even have.....

Update there is an electric input for the speed assisted steering, I finally got to see a good pic of one of the racks. I think it goes with the cars that have the sport mode button. So it’s hydraulic with some electric features.
