car wont crank no tail lights or Headlights work

Hi any advice would be appreciated....

I have a 2009 e350 coupe.

Parked car under carport then a week later won't start.. I purchased a Brake switch installed and looks like wasn't that.

Symptons... Turn key only thing that lights up is lcd in speedometer gauge. no Abs or other warning light come on.
Car does not crank.Have just realised no exterior lights work when I put headlights on. However parkers and tail lights come on when I put parkers on.
All lights work when arm and disarming alarm.

Have tried to locate a fuse diagram for rhd c207 no luck anyone can shed some light.

Regards
Peter

Sorry to ask the obvious, but since it sounds like a dead battery...have you tried trickle-charging the battery or jump-starting?

Measure the starter battery voltage. If it's below 12v, it won't start.

Well Guys problem solved, I wonder if there is a sticky on this anywhere.......

No crank No dashlights.......Won't Start ( With key in ignition try turning steering wheel if it's locked there is your problem)

After stressing, being off the road for a month. replacing brake switch that wasn't faulty. Paying a dip**** mechanic to come out a scan with no solution .. who told me would need to be towed and needed a $500 deposit just to try and diagnose the problem.

I called an autoelec that I had used on my Ford, he suggested to call a locksmith he recommended.

And there is your problem steering lock failed if it had of been in a ford I would have picked it up as I did my with Ford.

$1400 later and $250 for a new battery and she is back from the dead.. replaced steering lock and module( he said the motors burn out and also to make sure no tension on steering wheel when starting.)

I hope this helps someone in the future, c207,A207 are dearer to do than w204......
