More greetings...
Both my Chrome Right Side Seat Back Handles have had the chrome peel back from the housing. There are replacements here: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/266161972210
I am thinking better to find another method rather than the pricey replacements which will eventually have the same issue in the future. It is also a hazard as the peeled back chrome is razor sharp.
I was thinking of completely removing the chrome and glueing leather or another material over the handle. Any other solution, accessory, or ideas out there?
Thanks.

See the longer thread on the topic at link below. Thick packaging tape worked well for me and kept chrome in place as it has not fully peeled off. You could also buy metallic craft tape and do it yourself if the chrome already came off.

I’ve had 3M Scotch packing tape securing my passenger side release handle’s chrome (that had started peeling) for several years. Quick easy fix.
The replacement part is no better than the original.
my $.02 worth.

One of my idea is remove all the chrome and replace it with leather --- if there is a good enough adhesive to keep it in place.

I am hoping this humanely crafted email will stir Head Office into an exception.
I also included the same peeling on the steering wheel --- that is not as easy to tape and can be more hazardous given ones focus at the wheel.
Regardless I am looking into the leather option ...looking for the right glue/adhesive.
Thanks All...
