Damaged Front Grill - Full or Partial Replacement?

So my lovely girlfriend reversed her vehicle directly into the front of my car this morning and damaged the front grill. I will include the photo below but it appears the silver horizontal piece and star must be replaced however black grill piece is undamaged. I searched videos of how to remove the grill and it looks like a huge headache saying I need to remove the whole bumper.. is there any possible way to just purchase the silver piece to avoid replacing the whole bumper? Let me know if there’s anyway or if I must replace the entire grill. My E350 model doesn’t come equipped with parking sensors, front camera and distronic - it does have a glowing star if that helps. Mercedes quoted me $850 so would like to hear your thoughts before replacing with them.

Your lovely girlfriend should offer to pay for the damage that she unfortunately did. So .....ummm...

Best.

From the pic, I can't really tell for certain where the damage is located. My car is a 2016 and I swapped out the grille without removing the entire bumper. If I recall correctly, removal of the star involved simply rotating it counter-clockwise and then pulling it out (it sort of unscrews), but it may be different if the star is illuminated. The silver crosspiece can also be removed from the black backing grille, but I will say that extrication of the grille from the car and removal of the crosspiece are pain-in-the-*** procedures and you will do some damage to your fingers. You will also feel as though you're going to break something, and in some cases you may, but the whole thing does come apart with no special tools (just a lot of cursing and sweat).

I couldn't see the damage, either, so I enlarged the photo. Here it is with what I assume to be the damage indicated.

Thank you guys! I found a thread where it appears some were able to successfully remove the grill without removing the entire front bumper. I'm going to follow those instructions and carefully attempt to remove it this weekend. Fingers crossed it works out like the others!

Since you need a new grill anyways perhaps you can spend 100-200 USD and get a new look. The grill is not difficult to access and take off. I did it when I installed a LED Mercedes Star. I’m a novice on vehicle upgrading but thankfully was worth the time to do it.

Here is one example of what you could do:
