Air Conditioner question?
Hello from the swamps.
Yesterday I inquired with a person whom was driving a 2014 E350 sedan (that she purchased new). I asked if she'd had any issues...
Her response was only that she was continually having to service the a/c drain hose (gets clogged).
When I returned home.. after driving 20 minutes with the a/c on... I noted that my car doesn't drip a/c condensation onto the garage floor!
How would I know if mine is draining properly?
Best,
Mark

when AC running and humid, water should start dripping after a few mins from evap overflow drain hose as AC removes water from CABIN air.
If not could be clogged and end up overflowing drip pan under evap and leaking onto carpet near feet.
All ACs remove water from the conditioned air and have to drain it somewhere and best if they drain it away from conditioned air.
Southern Home ACs tend to be set up to drain into a vent stack in attic since that is where equipment is.
Home Window unit drips from exterior pan outside.
Auto/truck AC drip from hose on firewall near where Evap is inside.
Best maintenance is to clean evap coil and drain to prevent mold and water back up into car cabin.

Palm Beach, Florida. A sunny place for shady people. Quite humid.
Maybe I'm just not noticing...but I don't recall ever seeing any liquid spots on the garage floor. My interior carpets are bone dry. I'll know more, soon....I guess.
This forum is priceless. So many thanks to all for the guidance. I wish I were confident enough to wrench a simple task...but if I f00k something up....I'd be angry at myself.
I really like this car.
