That’s awesome! Was it a hilly place and going downhill? I once averaged 33.4 mpg on a 5.3L Suburban with six people in it on a mountain road between Tennessee and North Carolina. Achieving 61.9 mpg is better than hybrid and nearly EV level efficiency. Who needs an EV when you got an E! 😎
One other thing I will say is summer months are not as efficient as colder months. When the air is cool & crisp outside between 40-60 def F, the intake seems to like that more and seems better for the ignition too that the cooler air mixed with the fuel when ignited gives better performance and increases the mpg. That or just running AC more could reduce the mpg.
And another one.
I guess the people who are thinking BS haven't seen it yet, or kept quiet. It is BS, but not photoshop, this is the actual dash reading. The point of my post is you cannot trust the dash at all. These two extreme readings were the same day, this one in the am, the other was pm. Why it's so far off I don't know. Usually it reads 22-26 when actual is 16-19. I don't check very often so who knows what else it's doing. Whatever the reading, it is always higher than reality.
