I have a 2016 E4 hundred coupe. I recently noticed that the cursor on my screen doesn’t work in certain apps where it used to. Using the control knob, I noticed it doesn’t work in Spotify, does work in Google maps, doesn’t work in Waze, does work in certain other apps, etc. Any thoughts on how to fix this? How would I do a hard reboot, disconnect the battery? I don’t think I want to replace the head unit because of the expense.

You could try that, but I don't know if that will actually reboot COMAND. Check out these methods:

ISTR, I had performed a reset using the System menu, but there's also the methods with the long press of the CD Eject button.
