Garage opener issue

I have a 2011 E350 Cabrio. For some reason the homelink has stopped working. I have made several attempts on resetting it but to no avail. When I push the two outside buttons the light never turns green? Tried to program with door remote clicker and still no luck. I have watched several videos. Any help appreciated.

Following as I have a similar issue with not being able to get my homelink to program and am wondering if there's some incompatibility with newer garage door codes.

Just got garage door remote linked to overhead panel. Super easy. Cleared out old codes by pushing desired store button (#1). Then held overhead panel button 1 while simultaneously pressing garage door remote, and holding. If that DIDN’T work, I was going to have to manually activate the garage door activation button on the garage door motor, while programming.

I didn’t see any light illuminate, but I wasn’t looking for one. Sorry if that was an oversight.
