Crash Sensor Internal Fault 9b71, 9b70, 9b76, 9b73

I've been having these 4 errors on my 2012 e350 cabriolet. I've changed out the sensors checked the harnesses and still the same issue. Purchased used and new sensors from dealer. Any help would be much appreciated. I know power is going to the sensor as when I unplug it shows the message c173 communication with sensors has malfunction. When connected it tells me that it has a internal fault.

Can the sensors be bypassed for testing purposes with a resistor to confirm if all the sensors that im using may be bad. I did read a post about a guy that had many bad sensors.

Thanks
Shayp

SRS circuits are built to be reliable. When so many disfunction at once we can think of a poor collision repair.

Double-check upon the status of all these many SRS faults: current or stored?
Hopefully stored

Perhaps chasing the return grounds for the Front SAM will be helpful? AS Cali Benz said check for wiring harness repairs if the car has been in any kind of collision even 1 mph parking lot fender benders

+1 : yeah

Any poor GND you fix today...
is a bad one you won't have to suffer from tomorrow !!

> How important is GND...?
GND feed 100% of all computers that tolerate glitches increasingly less.

# 2-- Footwells GND posts for SRS and ECU + SAM

#1-- Main Chassis Strap: cancels the glitch factory caused by high loads in resistive connection.

#3 -- Rear trunk sides GND posts

#4-- Underhood side-beams GND posts

i

may have found the issues.. looks like some water damage on the distributor blocks on the driver's side

only problem I have now on the right I have a block with 3 connectors.

One on each side of the block and one goes somewhere in the middle but after pulling out and cleaning i got distracted and now I don't know where it needs to be plugged back in 🫣

See the photos

The special 3-pin brings the GND in addition to CAN.
Most members are simple 2-wires only CAN, the 3-pins position should stand out obvious at the bar end.
