Reversing Camera
The rear camera picture on my 2012 Cabrio is intermittent at best. Sometimes the screen will go black (still has the writing on it), sometimes it's VERY distorted. Then it will work fine next time the car starts.
I am not thrilled about replacing the wiring - has anyone replaced their camera? What's involved? Is OEM the best option that doesn't involve changing the head unit?

Did you end up fixing it? Mine has been acting up a bit as well (flickering some times, and yesterday it was black for a period). I then restarted my car a few hours later, and it worked perfectly fine.
I don't see why you would need to rewire everything if you're just replacing the camera, Just cut the wires wherever is convenient and splice the new camera in. That said, I'm unclear what the issue is (at least with mine). Is it the camera? The wiring? The COMAND unit? I really have no idea.
