Climate control very Dim on temperature read out

My 2016 A207 E400 cabriolet has a very dim temperature display readout during the day. Top Up. Often I can barley read it. I exclusively use Auto mode so I need to see the set point temperature. I've tried changing internal lights from Automatic adjustment to Day selection and to night selection. It makes no difference. I can see the temp fine at night. Supposedly Mercedes looked at it for 2 hours and found nothing. Someone mentioned a ribbon wire cable from the rear view box going up to roof light controls may get pinched causing dim daylight AC display. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you

Your AAC Module has started to act up.

You can use an MB scanner to interact with the module.

Issue likely:
oxidized GND post or
oxidized circuit board pins.
