2012 c300 4matic and New 2018 E400-Coupe
Mercedes me app
I have a 2018 E400- and the remote start works as long at the car is locked. I was wondering about the auto pilot feature. I see videos on line. The car can pull out of a spot or out of your garage. The park assist is not working well. Unless its me. I tried in a parking lot and the car would have hit another car if I did not stop it. Other then that the car is just great. I really like the massage seats and the driving assist system. many menus to play with. You can beat the air suspension. and the 3D sound system. Found this car loaded at a dealer and it was a 2018 new .. So far a new happy owner

Mercedes me connect version 2.14.0 was released two days ago. It says several new vehicle status notification features have been added including; car alarm notification and parking damage detection. Both seem to be useful features. My app has been updated, but the only new item at see is the addition of a hood status, which is blank (no data.) There is also a parking brake status indicator that may or may not have been there before.
Has as anyone seen a setting or notification for car alarm or damage detection?

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I notice that new hood indicator that is blank. Remote door lock is not working now. Was so reliable there for a while. I wish they’d just leave things alone.

I just tried the remote lock and unlock and they worked fine. They are definitely working on the system though. In addition to the updated app, the web portal hasn’t worked right for a couple of weeks.

Mercedes-Benz doesn’t do a good job of letting customers know what’s going on with this technology. It should be easy for them to send messages to all subscribers through the app or the web portal announcing new features or capabilities. The announcements could even be market and vehicle specific. I sent a message through the portal asking about the new vehicle alarm and damage notifications in the new app and whether they are going to be available to existing customers. I’ll post their reply.

I asked Mercedes me connect support about the inconsistent availability of the web portal and if or when we would get the new car alarm and damage notification features. I got a somewhat generic answer that they are working on the app and web portal. In any case, I guess we can expect issues for a while longer. This was the response:
If you are experience difficulty with the portal or the app, it is most likely because we have ongoing updates taking place. You may experience the app as well as the portal running very slowly and even going down at times. I do apologize for the inconvenience. I know how frustrating it can be. Mercedes is integrating the two portals into one so the updates will continue over the next several days. We are expecting the integration to be completed by September. Thank you in advance for your patience.

I have been happy with the way the app works. My experience has been generally very good. Although the down time to upgrade can be annoying, I'm glad they are updating and hopefully providing new features. Giving users advance notice of updates and potential down time would be helpful. At least owners would know the problems are not with their cars.

The portal has been updated (UK) and is now much less user-friendly.
Many features seem to have gone, and what remains is 2 clicks away rather than instantly visible.
Really poor.
On the App the collision warning feature seems to come and go with alarming regularity. It's not there now, whereas it was a week or so ago.

I contacted Mercedes me through the portal and they explained that the portal is still being updated and will eventually add back all the services they removed and then add some. This is their response. They have been very responsive and have provided timely answers to my questions. I just wish they would let us know in advance what they are doing and what we can expect.
“Thank you for contacting Mercedes me connect regarding your concerns with the new portal. We have recently made updates to our website, while there are some features that have not migrated to the new system as of yet. We will be making periodic updates which will make the system run smoother as well as implementing old and new features. At the moment there is no time table set to when the new update will be released, however you should notice the changes once they are rolled out. In the mean time, the best method of checking the remote vehicle status will be on the Mercedes me connect app.”

Seems like everything is fine with the app. If only they would add the remote parking pilot in the USA. Maybe I’ll tell them I’ll keep driving my current wagon the next 20 years instead of the usual 2 or 3 years unless the add remote parking assist. Lol.

I’ve noticed that the “Valet Protect” ignition on notification feature hasn’t been working for at least a couple of weeks. I used to get notifications every time the car was started. Those notifications have stopped. I’ve deactivated and reactivated valet protect feature in the app, no change. I did the same thing on the web portal. It still doesn’t send a notification when the car is started. Has anyone else noticed this? I still receive other notifications such as when the car is left unlocked and when it is started remotely. The app was updated about a month ago to version 15.15.1 with “general bug fixes and performance enhancements.” Maybe one of the “bug fixes” deactivated the Valet Protect notifications.

2020 MB-AMG GLC43
I know this is an E-Class forum, but I found it when searching for Mercedes Me. Myself, and at least one other 2020 GLC owner are having problems with the App.
For me - living in Canada - the remote start is essential!
Anyone having more, or less success?

Yeah, app has not worked all day today. It will be -18C here in the morning. My wife is cold all the time and the only option she asked me for was remote start. It has failed two times now in very cold weather and she is so upset she wants me to start looking for a different car. I can't believe with all today's technology we have in vehicles that we can't reliably remote start a 2020 Mercedes-Benz in cold weather.

I am the second owner for my car. After it was registered with the DMV, I was able to use the app with all features for a 90 day trial period. My car's original owner took delivery 11/2017.... no issues.
