I've had the car for just over a year now and it's the best car I've ever owned (loaded except 4matic). I picked it up in Germany and drove it all over Europe for a month. We took European Delivery of our E450 Cabriolet this past April. We had a blast driving through Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland and back to Stuttgart.
That rocks! Did you take the whole family, or just your wife/girlfriend? My wife refuses to drive my E-cab, but in her defense, she seems to find a way to scrape every barrier, so she is just being self aware.
It was just me and my wife. I picked it up in Stuttgart and dropped it off at Munich airport before flying home 30 days later.
We picked ours up in July, we wanted to make sure to get the best weather possible...
It was just me and my wife...we left Stuttgart and went to Munich, Innsbruck, 2 nights in Venice, 2 nights in Florence, up to Genoa, Zurich then back to Stuttgart. We only had one day of rain. Weather was great...the highs averaged about 60, lows were about 45 or so..... I was surprised at how little trouble we had getting around their highway system. Very simple and the navigation system in the car work great.
Thanks! I was worried the interior would look too "orangey" with the red exterior, but it works well with the light wood. I also thought about black gloss piano wood inside and then saw how badly the fingerprints showed up on the floor model.
