Ordered a ‘20 E450 4Matic Cabriolet nicely outfitted with an MSRP of about $84. It’s due mid to end December. My salesperson took a $1K refundable deposit and told me December pricing, rebates, incentives etc are still unknown. I haven’t the slightest idea what the lease on this car will be. I plan to not pay anything upfront but taxes and will need 15,000 miles/yr.
my only comparison is my ‘17 BMW 640ix Vert that’s costing me just about $1K/month. (Sticker on that was about $91K.)
The other problem is my BMW dealer has a brand new leftover ‘19 M850ix Vert very well equipped with that big biturbo V8 and is knocking $24K off the sticker for a similar lease parameters for $1200/ month.
I don’t need the V8 but.....
HELP!! Any thoughts?

ps. The insurance on the BMW is about $1400 more per year. $3500 vs $2100

Not that easy. Went and drove the M850 xi. For a car with a sticker price of $124K I was expecting “OMG I gotta have this car. “. Well, not so. Don’t get me wrong, it’s VERY nice and the exhaust note is lovely, acceleration massive but not enough WOW to justify the expense. back seat is ridiculous and trunk is very awkwardly configured.
finally got a lease price from my dealer that’s approaching what I’m looking for. Hopefully with a bit more December incentives I’ll be happy.
after 5 BMWs I’ll try this one.
