Good morning. New here and happy to have my new to me e400 convertible. I’m in process of installing a valentine 1 gen 2 and I have successfully run the wire to the passenger footwell from the mirror. I intend to tap into the 12v lighter socket under glove box. While the install is pretty clean, I would like to hide the wires better by running them from the mirror and then behind the map lights/glasses holder and then behind windshield trim. Where I’m struggling is removing the map light. When you open the glasses compartment there are 2 torx screws. I removed those and assumed that I would be able to pull down the plastic surround but i can’t figure out where it is clipped. Anyone taken that piece down and can give some advice?
alternatively, I could take down passenger side sun visor and trim and New to me a238 2018 with 5,700 miles
run wires through there but the retaining clip for the visor won’t release. You can clearly see where there are tabs on either side of the visor clip but I really don’t want to pull too hard and break something. Any advice here would also be appreciated.
