Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has the COMAND system in their E-class Coupe/Cabrio. I have a 2019 E450 Cabrio. (My favorite Benz I've ever owned, love the car.)
Mine apparently has received an over-the-air update that is causing many problems customer-wide for Mercedes. It's causing endless reboots of the system every few minutes regardless of the source being used (Bluetooth, satellite radio, etc.)
I set an appointment to get this fixed and the dealer called to let us know they're aware of the issue (dealer and Mercedes) and there's nothing they can do about it until an OTA update is prepared. This is impacting all models of this car 2019+ - I forgot to ask if this is just the cabrio or all models. (They use a GLC as an example in the image below.)
This is the scanned fix they provided that should help alleviate issues in the meantime - thought I would share. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. I'll try this solution when I get a chance and report back.
My last over the air update was in January of this year. However, I have noticed tremendous lag when switching media or radio stations as well as being 100's of feet off of the road on the map. I wonder if this is affiliated with this. Did they say when the last update was or when one was coming?

Very little info from the dealer, they just sent this fix to me. I tested it out using the app, and was successful running a quick errand today - about 6-7 minutes each way and no disruption, whereas before it would reset annoyingly about every 2-3 minutes max. Honestly, the live traffic data/alerts are useless to me as I rarely use the in-car navigation so it was actually convenient to be able to deactivate this feature. Where I live, it basically warns you of a traffic jam about 100 feet before you hit it.
I have a 2020 E450 Coupe, and I was experiencing the same issue. I implemented the fix on the 22nd, and it works. I was told Mercedes will be sending another OTA update to correct the initial issue. Not sure how we will know when the new update has been issued, since the initial update was silent except for the issue it caused.
