2022 E450 cabriolet 2 month update
After 2 months and 2,000 Km , some observations :
The good :
Fit and finish of the whole car inside and out is excellent
Rubellite Red is a fantastic color varying from metallic dark brown through various shades of red to a bright burgundy , depending on the brightness and direction of the sun .
Performance of the straight six is very smooth and surprisingly fast for such a heavy car .It seems to have the same pull as my previous C43
Air suspension certainly evens out the Ontario potholes ,but not completely
Haven't used much of the tech yet ,so can't comment
I usually turn off the auto start ,but it is very smooth in operation
Overall ride is excellent : smooth, quiet and powerful
Not so good :
No coolant temperature gauge - never had a car without one before . I guess its gone to the same place as oil pressure gauge did years ago
The dreaded brake dust - still in 2022 !
Surprising :
The E450 seems significantly larger than expected - I guess an inch or two each way adds up
Many comments from people - mostly positive
I drive mostly in comfort or sport ; sport+ just seems too aggressive for this kind of car
' Hey Mercedes ' and the seat massagers are not the gimmicks I thought they would be . I find them both to be very useful
In summary :
A brilliant all-year round 4-seat convertible . Sadly ,after 30 years one of the last of this model which has it's roots back in 1992
The good :

Thanks Mikey53 you are right , I finally got around to putting the engine performance on the right display and that will be my default set up . Its a little thing ,but old habits die hard !
