Question on jack stand and lifting points

Hi there- I’ve attempted to search and nothing absolute, but please direct me if I’ve missed something posted prior.

I wanted to ask if anyone has reference material or information on all of the lift points on our cars (both the cabriolet and the coupe)?

I have a hydraulic jack and stands- and am aware of the points on the side of the car (front and rear) and the point at the front centre, however if you’re lifting the car from one point I’m perplexed where you would then place the jack stands while the hydraulic jack is in place (haha).

I hope I’m making sense and this isn’t a stupid question… 🙈 Cheers!

Good question. I had to do this last week for the 50k maintenance and put the jack under the silver stabilizing arm that goes out to each wheel, near the engine end. There's a nice curve there for the jack stand to fit in and it is very stable.

For your E-Class Coupe and Carbiolet, this should be good reading:-
(Basically, you use the hydraulic lift not at the four jack points but at 'alternate' jacking points. Once at the desired height, place the jack stands into place.)

Thanks everyone- appreciate it. My main reason for wanting to jack the car up is to detail the wheel well and callipers. A lot more efficient if I can do two wheels at once. I’ll follow these tips and report back on the spots I’ve used when I get around to it. Cheers!

Haven’t tackled this yet- but in other news, I did get my transmission serviced this week (lovely piece of mind).

I think my mechanic was making a subtle joke with the choice of seat protector here- had a good chuckle to myself as I drove off and I’m sure they did too ).

Didn't even notice the BMW logo on that "seat cover" haha
