Using the navigation built into MBUX. I have a SunPass transponder to pay tolls automatically. Irritatingly, the navigation continually tells me to make exits off the freeway to pay tolls. Is there a setting in the nav that acknowledges I have a transponder and don't need faulty (for me) directions every few miles to pull off to the right and pay the toll?
I cannot confirm this in the owner's manual for MBUX, but this is an option in the route settings in my car with the latest COMAND system. It's under the settings where you can configure if it should avoid or use toll roads, and the payment method, so it knows to route through the electronic billing or cash lanes. I would expect MBUX to have a similar setting. Look under the route settings.
Thanks for the response. That is exactly what I'm looking for, but I cannot find it within MBUX. I don't see it in the manual, either. Hopefully I'm just missing it, but if not, I would be dumbfounded that Mercedes omitted it.
ETA: I've now found it under "Avoid Options" while playing with the navigation settings. I deselected Cash/card option and selected electronic payment option. Hopefully that works. Thanks for your help.
Yes, the "Avoid Options" is where to find this. The other setting under there that can be useful is specifying the number of occupants for using carpool lanes as part of the route.
My car used to do that on the one toll road I use occasionally, the 110 Freeway Express Lanes into downtown Los Angeles. However, after taking it a few times, the NAV system now steers me on to it. Weird!
