Angry What did I do???

Here is what I did......

On my daughter's 1982 240D I removed the instrument cluster repaired the odometer hooked everything back and thought I did a great job. Key word there is "thought".

Here is the problem.....

There is something wrong with the gauges. The fuel and temp gauge jump all over the place. When you turn on the left or right directional the same gauges jump as the directional clicks on and off.

What is wrong??? I've removed and reinstalled the cluster with no success. The problem is still there.

HELP!!!!!!!

My ignition switch was causing my gauges to turn off and on, but they were not jumping around, they would either be on or off.

Ground issue, I had that problem with the oil pressure on my 560 once, it had been knocked off.
