Unhappy mercedes starting problem

when i go to start my car when its a little chilly it starts and revs up but them slowly dies off with my foot all the way on the petal. then i have to pop my hood and prime the engine because it sucks it dry. it takes a few pumps it get the prime back. then after 1 or 2 times of doing that i can normally get it to start and run. if my battery dousnt die first. does this sound like a fuel pump problem? any dies will be helpful thanks a lot

You could have a defective injection pump

No, he does not have in injection pump problem. What he has is either cr@ppy fuel without the necessary anti-gel additives or a plugged tank strainer.

I would replace your fuel filters first. It's the cheapest and easiest thing to do, if the problem continues then you know at least one thing that is NOT the problem. Heck, even I did it without bleeding or screwing it up!

What a coincident I had to repaired a car this afternoon with the same problem you have, the car has a new fuel filter the injectors and gloplugs were replaced no long time ago, the problem was the injection pump.
