1997 300D power failure...

My 300D has recently started to die for no apparent reason. This has happened while stopped at lights and while driving on the freeway. The car acts like it was just turned off, cycles through all the error codes and then if you wait 2-3 minutes, starts back up and runs like nothing happened. Both mechanics I have tried said they cannot do anything until it dies completely. It also has started having some problem with the glow plugs where the light on the dash doesn't come on, the car cranks but won't start but then the light will come on again after turning the key on and off about 20 times (that was the mechanics suggestion so I could get it started and drive it to the shop...) Any thoughts or suggestions?

I do not think there is anyone on this forum that can answer.
Try posting the exact same description at this other forum I hang out on. The Members of that Forum seem to have more Technical Knowlege.

Good luck with that. None of them will know either.
