will 225/50-16 tires work on front (ET37 CLK 16x7)?

Has anyone tried specifically 225/50-16 on 16x7 ET37 rims with no spacers,
on a unlowered 300D? I'm trying to find out of these will rub anywhere
(or if the problem is that if lowered later they will rub).
If you have any experience or temporarily tried this setup, please let me know.

I am currently running W209 CLK rims front 16x7 ET37 7 spoke with 205/55-16,
and rear 16x7 ET37 7 spoke with 225/50-16. I'd like to run the
same tire front and back. (there's a slight problem with center cap fitment
over the dust cap which I haven't completely solved yet).
