Bought a 84 300D and a few issues... Where do I begin?
I bought a 84 MB turbo D. and It has a few issues. The trans was slipping, but a new trans filter and some good trans fluid fixed that problem. A major tune-up got it running sweet! Now, the next few issues I need help. Im new to the MB world and don't know all the little ends and outs. The Radio, or power antenna wont come on at all, or go up or down. The power windows for the front work, but neither back windows work. The climate controls don't work either. No heat, no A/C. No click, totally dead.
I do have a Haynes repair manual, but they are not the best to use when trouble shooting, they are Ok, for replacing parts though. I did check all fuses and they are all good. My question is what do I check next? Please advise any and all tricks of the trade I can do in the garage. I don't have the money to take to the repair shop. I'd rather figure it out myself and with your help!!!
Julian.

When all windows stop working there is one Fues that connects to some other stuff and the Power Window Ralay that is problem.
Window Problems as you describe with what apppears to be no electricity at all getting to the Rear Windows is most often burned contacts inside of the Window Switches on the main Counsel.
The Switches can be removed and taken apart; and the contacts scraped/cleaned.
After that there is broken wires were the Doors Hinge.
If the Windows do not move but you can hear the Window Motors working it is common for the The Rear Window regulators to be bent.
And, of course once in a while a Window Motor goes bad.
More importantly get your car jacked up and inspect all the Rubber parts you can think of.
Oil and Transmission Cooler Hoses
Check the Drivers side Motor Mount. When they are squased enough they Power Steering Belt sometimes cuts through the Oil Cooler Hose.
On the ends of the Drive Shaft are Rubber Flex Discs. In the Middle is a Rubber Drive Shaft Bearing mount.
Rear inspect the Boots on the CV Axles.
