What to look for on a 1979 e240D?
Hi,
A friend just bought a 240d, which seems to be in good nick, looks like it spend most of it's life in a garage, due to the condition of the interior, etc. Almost everything works, however, I would like to know what mechanical items I need to look for? I'm not that familiar with diesels, but as the boys from Top Gear UK say, "how hard can it be?" (Hope I haven't put the Top Gear curse on myself now...)
