Replacing glow plugs need advice 78 300D

My glow plug light does not come on and hard starting and discovered two of the five glow plugs are defective. I've read the process and it seems pretty simple to do. Besides removing the old ones (I'm replacing them all) and putting the new ones in is there anything else I need to do? BTW...should I replace them with the loop or pencil style or does it matter?

I just bought this car and its a 78 300D. I appreciate the help guys.
