Radiator Protection Options

My 1983 300D had been running a bit hotter than desired - so I did a flush, followed by a fan clutch replacement and finally a radiator replacement. I had a new Nissens put in this week and finally there is a noticeable difference in the running temp - especially when a lot is being asked of the engine.

Despite having hit it with quite a bit of high pressure water spray multiple times before, the old radiator appeared to be full of gunk such as road grime and stuff. I wonder if there is any sort of screen or filter which I could put over the new one to protect it.

Nope. Just pull it and clean it every 5 years when you change the coolant.
