Looking at a 1984 C230E
Hi,
I'm an old guy, new to MBs. I have a lead on this car, supposedly a Euro model. It has round quad headlights, if that means anything.
I've been told that it runs and drives.
It has a moonroof, which I don't want, and manual windows, which I do want. Paintis faded on the trunk but body is very straight. Rust may not be a problem (California car). Interior is in very good shape.
In looking at this and other forums I've looked for information on W123's but found little on 230's, most info seems to be on the diesels and gassers with larger engines.
I think the price is reasonable if it's as described but I'd like to find out what its worth might be, what to look out for, etc.
I know this is not much information to go on but all I've been able to do so far is look at it, not start it or drive it.
