Ok now, I have installed speakers on my old 86 300e mercedes, but let me tell you when I got to removing the stock 500e front speakers it was a mission. I have no idea whats up the the front speakers I hear no noise so I bought new rockfords. Anyone know how to replace the stock 500e speakers? Thanks a bunch.

 

The dash speakers? You'll need to pry up the trim piece (rectangular strip) to get to the screws.

You really don't want to put in Rockfords...go with Rainbows in the dash. You need special speakers for the stock amped system.

 

Yea I had a feeling that it needed special speakers, but when i bought it it had a seprate amp in the back. So the front dash speakers went dead. So I cut the wires so i can try and install the rockfords, how do install aftermarket speakers. Thanks.
