Facelift...
Well it's done...for now. Got the lights and the grill done.
Here's how I had to drive around....for 5 days!
Back from the shop...I forgot to tell him to paint the insert black (OOPS!).
Some close ups..
Time for the lights..
One down, one to go..
DONE!!!
Here's one for Chris (LOL)!
next mod...get the impact strips painted.

Now all you need to focus now is painting that grill, the impact strips, and maybe even get the tow hook cover..lol.
btw, is that a crack I see in your bumper?
ouch.
Dude! how do those corner light bulbs look!?!

Thanks!
Yeah I forgot about the tow hook cover and the crack (my wife), the crack will be done with the impact strips. the corner lights are still up in the air..right now I'm running one white and one amber. Also, I running one of the Silverstar bulbs and one of the blue bulbs that came with the lights. I'll decide tonight which is better.

Nice job, I don't think you should get the grill mesh painted blk It'll break up the flow of the smooth flat badge and white grill frame.. Get the whole thing colorcoded white including the chrome strips. That would look clean, chrome against white doesn't show up well anyways. Old skewl AMG clean....
Everything will come together when you're done colorcoding the bumpers , lowering and rims. A defenite on the clear corners...

Chances are those bulbs that came with your headlights will burn out your plugs sooner or later. So I wouldn't risk it, well for me at least.
Get rid of those silverstars and get PIAA's! I definately need to see those APC corner light bulbs. I'm getting tired of seeing yellow corners and white headlights at night on my caar. Looks so cheesy.
When are you goign to take your car in for the impact strips?

nice clean job, definitely a good upgrade. and i agree with cali not to paint the insert black, it'll just ruin the whole white look, but keep it up! btw did those headlight wiper panel come with your headlights or did you buy them from somewhere else?

NorCal, I got these from an Ebay seller. I had bought my tail lights from him and reffered some friends to him. I asked what the best price for the lights, trim panels shipping would be seing as how I was a repeat customer and had sent some business his way...I got it all for $234 shipped. I saved about $40.
XO3, as I said the panels were part of the deal.
as for the grill insert, I don't know what I'm gonna do...maybe paint it black maybe silver/aluminum...maybe a new grill (style)....I got some ideas.

I was hoping to see you do the 1995 E320 facelift. I think you should have left the grill surround in chrome and painted the grill insert in white. All the white up front looks out of place.
I notice some of you with older 124s have grilles without the stand up mercedes emblem. Is that a custom job or a converstion and if its a converstion, what year 124 do you need to get the grill from and how difficult is the install? Thanks in advance.
What i did on mine was to take off the star and move the emblem in the bottom to the top cover the lower hole and i painted the emblem black! You can do it in white?
here's a pic if it...

The lights are an easy install, about 2 hour job...tops.
tony looks like you are trying to do the white version of the front of my car.
I like it. that insert needs to be painted black now, because the grey looks outdated and worn out.
To get that headlight bolt in by the radiator, I used a pair of long very thin needle nose pliers to hold the bolt in place so I could lightly thread it in, then an open ended wrench to tighten it.
I have done it several times on my car and a few times on a friends car, never had trouble getting the bolts out or back in this way.

And get silvervision bulbs for your clear corners. They're sexy.
