I really like the Alpine monitor.
I'm actually in the market right now for a full Alpine system, including the headunit, ipod adapter, front component speakers, rear speakers, 4 channel amp, 1 12" sub with box. Can't wait to get it!
Good luck with all of your projects.

alpine makes a beautiful product, no matter what it is. THis tv was alot of money but if u can, get it. ill eventually get the navigation, i want that soo bad, and all the extra little goodies u can hook it up to. I have 2 10'' 1000w subs to a 1000w amp and i took out the spare so we can make a custom box for 1 15'' sub to go with the tens, with its own amp staright to it. also have to cut the deck. i cant wait to hear movie sound with my system, theater mode!

performance products ells a shaft adapter so you can use any of the newer mb knobs and some aftermarket ones.
THe alpines work great, sound great, and are top quality thats for sure. For my own personal car I prefer pioneer myself. Though I am the type that doesn;t care to have a tv in his car, I prefer to just have good sound, and I don;t need a screen for that.
2 10's and a 15? thats goign to be seriously loud. I hope you are going to dynamat the whole car, because it's goign to rattle like mad. The bumper and the chrome trim on the bumper is also going to rattle like mad.
Are you going to add a dual battery setup? I plan on adding a dual battery setup in my car just because I have an extra optima bluetop doing nothing...
I'm not a fan of those rims, but if you like them then thats what counts the most.
The compustar is a pretty nice alarm from what I have heard, I have a few friends who have them and like them.

e32o, I'll definitely check out your system since i'm in the Market for one right now.
https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-electronics/108085-alpine-system.html
tell me if that's a good system. Anyways, I've noticed depending on the amp, it can make the biggest sound difference in your system. What kind of amp are you utilizing right now?

well chris it all depends on how much u want to spend. before you go into all high end stuff and buying things you think you need and want, check out my system and then tell me if you still want all that highend stuff. Alpine is the best no dought about it, if i had the money i would go all alpine. But i have headeunit, eq, 1amp, 10" fosgate woofer in box and all stock inside speakers.

crazy...adding subs to your car sure can get pretty expensive....but i got all my stuff (excluding amp) for 250. LOL
kenwood headunit found on slickdeals - 80
2 12" kenwood subs and ported box from property auctions - 75
4 gauge cables - 80
pioneer amp from my bro - free
misc - 20
and it sounds great to me
esp. since i wanted more experience on how to hook it all up rather than trying to go all out and buy the best stuff.

Amps are the most expensive part of the system I think. Subwoofers too and add in a good box and that can get pricey. Luckily Alpine offers a really good subwoofer with a box for a decent price. I can get it for around 150-200.

with audio, NEVER cheap out. that doesnt mean u have to spend madd money either, but dont look at the price, look at the specs and determine what u need. as for me ash. i love loud bass. and im gonna get the trunk professionally sound protected. all the competition cars get the same stuff. my whole system is 5 grand easy, and ive never herd anyones car sound better, cleaner and louder than mine, but hey im adding a 15'' sub and big amp just for deeper bass haha. i know its crazy but if u like it, why not?

I am sure your system sounds great.
Like I said you will have to sound mat the bumper and the chrome trim onthe bumper those are going to rattle like mad. Friend had 2 15's in his e320 and had the whole trunk sound matted and that was the part that was rattling the most, and he had to remove the bumper and the chrome trim and sound deaden that part. It still rattled but not as bad after that. It was a pain to do.
I think my system sounds great, like I said I prefer to not have a screen in the car, because I just listen to music, and my pioneer unit sounds great to me.
My setup is:
MB Quart 6.5" in the front doors, JBL Twetters in the dash, Infinity reference 5.25" seperates in the rear, 12" JL Audio 12w3D4 sub in a small box, Fosgate 800.2 Amp bridged mono and the sub wired at 2 ohms, lightning audio 300.4 Amp for the speakers 2 farad cap. I spent a lot of time messing with allthe levels and frequencies, and am constantly adjusting it, but I have it adjusted so it sound pretty darn good even without the sub running, then I add the sub.
You can get great sound without spending much money, In total I spent less than $800.00 for everything, the biggest cost was the headunit. the rest I either got dirt cheap or free. It also helps if you install yourself

lots of cars
Thanks ashman for your last comments! Why are you going with two 10" and one 15"? Is your amp a d-class mono or stereo? I had a competition system in my car but took it out because it got really expensive on gas and was F%cking up my suspension because i had 200lbs in my trunk! I was running one earthquake phd10000 at 1ohm to two 12" vegas strokers in two sealed custom 1" (two 1/2 boards) mdf boxes 1.75 cubic feet each. Also I had dynamat extreme in the whole trunk and insulation foam where i could not get dynamat in. All this took me to about 155-160db's. Do you wanna go with SQ? or SPL? If your going to have monitors and a lot of electronics then just downgrade your system and go for sq. What i will do is to get a set of good components and put two 10" in the read deck. Since you got a lot of money to spend you need to focus on buying sound processors and crossovers to make your system sound nice and clear. Also you need to upgrade your electrical system! When your going for SQ you need quality products but with SPL Who cares!
I spent on my system like $1500 just to F#$%ck up my car. This much bass made my car not run at all, made my map light fall all the time, windows came off their rails, and made everylittle part in my car loose. Be carefull because i did have ear damage and could not hear for a week!
