my belt did the same thing, but was more of a flutter.

I took it to my mechanic today. He said it's one of the valve lifters that's causing the knocking noise. Like one of two of the lift's need to be replaced which is why it's causing the knocking, but he didn't have time to open the valve cover and further inspect it.
He just told me to take it easy until I can replaced it. It's asually around 200 something with labor. Anothing 200-300 going to fix something.

My car has a noise too but who knows wtf is coming from?? I'll just drive my car till the engine dies and then i'll drop in a toyota motor lol! I have seen a 5.0 mustang engine on a w124 and I already got a 5.0 engine just sitting because i put a 351 in my stang. The only proble is the steering rack.

No not yet and it's not finished either! I got the talk from the wife last night because she wants me to stop buying things for my cars. The mustang is my main project and right now im doing the interior im going to do a lot of fiberglass work inside and in the trunk. It already has a new suspension, engine, removed all rust from it, and rims are getting made (18" all around). Im going to paint it this summer but first i have to finish the body work and block sand it. My benz is my daily bucket but i want to fix it too because i had mbz since i was in high school and love these cars!.

The discussion was over and I found out what it was. So hell, time to hijack my own thread. That always happens by the way... :p I just talk to much. BTW I HATE you for living to far with such a nice car.
