3rd brake light bulbs

3rd brake light bulbs
Both of my third brake light bulbs are out and I was trying to change them, but I couldn't get that plastic cover off, I saw the little two tabs on each side, Am I supposed to push those in or pull them out. By third brake light I mean the one inside the car

you are supposed to release them by putting something under them and prying outwards a bit while pulling on it. be careful. after years of the sun and heat form the lamp they can be brittle.

the 3rd brake light is easy to replace just BE VERY CAREFUL when you pull out the tabs on the light cover. They are very fragile and snap off w/ little effort (ask me how I know). Don't be suprised if the red plastic is a little melted either. The heat from the bulb causes it to do that.
