E500 Max Tire width all around?
I was reading about a 94 E500 truly an amazing car! I was just playing around on tirerack the other day and saw that with 18's that the car could fit 245/40/18's all around. I was just wondering if it was possible to fit 255's or maybe even 265's all around without rubbing? I am definatly getting that car for my next purchase next summer. I was reading up on that car and it is a true beast!

lol...try 245's in the front and 275's in the rear of the 500's. I've seen wheels up to 18 x 8.5 in the front and 18 x 9.5 or even 10 in the rear.
Someday, I would like to do a 500E conversion with the fenders and quarter panels. That would be great. Good luck on your adventures.

The fenders can easily gobble up 285s with the correct offset...all around. There are euro-dooodes out there modding their fenders to go even wider...yikes !!
I run wimpy 245s on 17" rims and 275s on 18" rims.
And YES, Ramils car(s) ROCK !!!

can you still spin them with that much meat on them? When I get my 500 I am going to probably get the AMG wheels 18", forgot the stile. and put 245's up front and 275's rear. I have to make sure I can brake launch.

You can still spin a tire with 275s...but its not as easy as compared to the thinner ones obviuously. Great hook-up at the drags; or at the stop-lites.
