AMG 17x8.5"Wheels on W124C?

Have anyone tried to install AMG 17x8.5" ET28 on W124C? Do you guys think its will fit? Do you guys think 8.5" wide is too wide for the front wheels? Thanks.

lots of cars
I never liked wide wheels in the front but you can try and it has been done. I like more of a staggered look more like 17x7 and 17x8 in the back and different offsets because i think it looks ugly when the front wheels stick out too much.

Yes, I agree. I also worry that the front wheel may stick out too much.

and what AMG wheels that are 17 x 8.5 with the ET28 are you talking about? I'm kind of curious now.

Those rims are for the R129 SL and 500Es....you guys are correct...too wide for the front, but they may work out back on a regular W124.

There are matching 10" rears for the set....for those cars running them as OE.

I have 18x10's on mine and they do not stick out much at all. I rolled thne fender lips and they don't even rub now. I'm gonna stick some amg fender spacers in and it shoudl be perfect.

I thought i was the only one with an 86 300e but 18x10?? what's the offset? I would love to put 18x10 in the back since my fenders are already rolled and my car is lowered with eibach pro's. The only thing is that i would go 18x8 in the front.
