E 320 Engine Harness

Hey all I was out toying with my 1995 E-320 and found my harness crumbling. Where is the best and CHEAPEST place to purchase one? I am a pretty good DIY'er so thats not and issue but any tips would be a great help.

Yes I did, that was the price he quoted me. I thought some were getting theirs in the higher five hundreds.

The recall is only for a wiring harness under the driver's footwell. There is nothing for the engine harness. The retail dealer price is about $925. I bought one form Rusty at buymbparts.com for $725 no sales tax and free shipping. It was a mercedes part. If the dealer is Orlando still has them at the old price that is a great price and grab it. It takes about 2-3 hours to change.

I have a 1995 E320 with 145,000 miles. The ASR and engine check light have been coming on. When the ASR comes on, the car has almost no power. The shop tells me I need an engine harness for $975. and 4 hours labor. I just want to sell this car as I have a new E500 wagon.

It's either 124 440 29 33 or 124 440 56 32, depending on whether you have an early- or later-95 E320 model. The part number on your existing wiring harness is on a tag located about a foot or two along the wiring harness from the bulkhead connector. The bulkhead connector is behind the battery. The first part number is more expensive.
