Dang, this whole time I thought you had the Bilsteins installed.
Now it makes sense. Just hang in there Gaww and everything will work out when you get the Bilsteins installed. The reason your car is so low is the old stock shocks can't handle the added weight of the drop. The new shocks will be able to hold the new drop better. Also the noise sounds about right. I encountered that on my Nissan when I lowered it on stock shocks. But after I switched to Koni's the clunk went away.
