Suspension klunking
Lowered the e320 last week as im sure most of you know from my slammed too much post/debacle. fronts too low so i had it raised back up on bump 4 pads from bump 2. now i have a second problem. seems that after i put in the vogtlands, the rear passenger side makes a loud klunking noise everytime i hit a bump. i am still riding on stock w124 shocks since the bilstein sports arent in yet. brought it back to the mechanic and they said it's prob cuz the car is lower and somehow the shock is acting funny. however, the driver rear side has no signs of this noise at all. they rechecked the shock installation, bumpstops, spring everything and the noise remains. has anyone experienced this problem when lowering with vogtlands? it almost sounds like the noise is coming when the shock rebounds and is hitting the car body? everything looks fine and i cant figure it out. please help.
as cali said, all this frustration and aggravation will be well worth it when everything's in and running. oh it better.

well to be quite honest Gaww, since I have the vogtlands as well, I haven't experienced this yet, but I can assure it it's probably because you are still using your stock shocks and havent installed the Bilstein Sports yet.
Dang, this whole time I thought you had the Bilsteins installed.

Ohh no wonder,
Now it makes sense. Just hang in there Gaww and everything will work out when you get the Bilsteins installed. The reason your car is so low is the old stock shocks can't handle the added weight of the drop. The new shocks will be able to hold the new drop better. Also the noise sounds about right. I encountered that on my Nissan when I lowered it on stock shocks. But after I switched to Koni's the clunk went away.
