well i blew my subs and i needed some more, so i figure... drive the best... buy the best. Got the MTX 12" 7500's with the sledge hammer box. These are serious subs,, i know mtx used to be ****ty but trust me these subs are insane and ive had alof of high end subwoofers so i know... anyway check the pictures, later all

Looks good, what type of amp you have powering those bad boys. Also doesn't your trunk rattle a lot, better get some dynomate on the inside.

im running a crossfire VR100D monoblock class D competition sub wooofer amp. Its the only amp u need man trust me. the trunk rattlt isnt that crazy but yes it does need some sound proofing. i have zero rattle on the inside. its the headrests that rattle . and the bass makes me feel weird, and i havent even cut the rear deck yet, thats comin soon. ok later man, p.s. i need some kinda sub grill, chrome... i would love a huge mercedes star for a grill but where would i get that from? ok later yall

When it comes to subs all I bump is Eclipse, with a Rockford Fostgate amp. You can hear me and my 2 15's blocks away

Not to diss you, just that you may not be big on car audio but that box design you have is purposely made to make bad subs sound better. But you still got bump in the trunk

haha lots of bashing goin on here, but its koo as long as your happy with your system then its all good. Im sure people will bash me for mine, but whatever i dont care cuz i got it for cheap. also i had the ported box as well, but to me it sounded like the bass echoed a lot, so i got another sealed box and i think its more clear and crisp sounding. but that could just be my imagination because i dont want to believe i spent money on a box that didn't improve my subs for the better.

The box the guy has is a fantastic design. A box can make or break a system. doesn't matter if he has a kickass sub or not, that's the kinda box he should have in the first place

I don't think any of us hate or love you ( or your car). We're here to exchange ideas and know how on our w124s. I am sure that your subs sound much better than the stock speakers but the setup just doesn't look professional and you lost your trunk too. Your car is getting to be a classic don't makes it look like a mexican lowed rider. You should know what you are driving!

PS Get a set of AMG or just go back to stock wheels.

it must be summer because the idiot level has increased 10 fold here; all the kids must be on summer break. why would anyone rip anyone here for rims, subs, paint, or anything else? do you drive a cl65 that costs in excess of 185K...if not then you have no room to talk smack on someone elses ride.

sharing ideas is not saying someone else's stuff is crap. personally i run free air subs and i had a pro install it. does that make me the best? f&ck no! i would bet i have more money in my system then most. does that mean i am the best? f$ck no! who cares what you think? i know i only care about what a handful of people think and maybe 3 of them are registered here on these forums.

i personally love my trunk and wouldnt put a sub box in it. however ashman has a box in his and he loves it (him and i share the same body style and styling). i dont say hey alon you are a lowrider and respect what you bought. that would be supremely childish.

if you dont like it how about a nice glass of shut the f@ck up. i am here on these forums to help, support and get ideas not to read childish comments about how superman thinks newbies car looks like a mexican lowrider. btw superman mexican lowriders are worth 10x what your or my benz is worth. a true impala low rider with all the trimmings is valued in some cases well over 50k. take a peek at your blue book. maybe just maybe u will crest the 10k mark.

Nice set up. I'll give props to anyone who's farther along in their modification process than I am. What a lot of people don't understand especially the youth, is that it's not about what you have, how nice it is, how fast it goes, or how much you paid for it. For me it's all about the passions you have for motorsport and the comradery you develop from it. Sure there's the urge to go faster and look nicer but in the end I seek to find others that share the same passion as I do. Whether you're installing an intake on a F355 Ferrari or bolting on a header to a Ford Pinto, as long as the set up is clean, I'll dish out the props.

p.s. i have a lowrider and how the heck does my benz look like one?
compare pics... and for those who care.. ive been working on the interior
painted the piping and im re doing the door pannels.that blue stuff on them is just tape im painting a nice decorative stripe. im redoing all the seat buttons white, im doing the headliner in that blue material and al the interior blue plastic door and window frames are being painted white. and whoever said i need to go back to stock rims should get their own mercedes....

Your ride looks nice, I'm just a serious auto person that all I was inputting to. Not knocking it, just that I'm the type that do every little detail thing. And my amp is great 2400 watts. You have a cool system, I just believe that either you will bump or you won't- no in between. but sorry if I added on to that. And I personally think sealed boxes are the best
