and how does your modding your car relate to knowing everything? doesnt
how does your helping other get AMG part numbers people relate to knowing everything? doesnt. and i dont recall posting in that thread either
nice twist, insinuating that i have sent PMs to people about you, as though i some schoolgirl gossipping about you behind you back. produce one of those PMs. i dare you produce one. we all can take a look at it, see if the grammar and style matches, do an IP trace to see which machine it originated from and so on.
YOU CAN'T. and do you know why. coz i have only PMd one person on this board, when i requested a 124 cd from them in january sometime.
that junior high schoolgirl nonsense doesnt cut it with me. i WILL call you on it. find one PM i sent to anybody that related to you in any way. ONE.
you. can. not.

Not taking sides, but seriously, this BS needs to stop. If anyone has nothing helpful regarding the thread topic, don't post it. Post the flaming elsewhere.

lots of cars
Well first things first! Congratulations to all of you who do your own oil changes and actually take care of their cars sometimes I know you can't do it all the time but try!
The first couple of post are correct but you don't want to siphon your oil because you need to check the oil for any type of sludge and to check the condition of you engine. YES! I SAID IT! CHECK THE ENGINE! Sometimes when your engine is going bad you get metal filings in the oil and you need to check for that! You can change your oil using you O.E jack and a 13mm socket just make sure you step on the e-brake when you lift it up.
FOR REALS!
Why even post in this forums if you have no information??
But most do and mbz have them too! I thought we where talking about mercedes w124 models in the mbworld forum!

me personally i NEVER change my oil so it doesnt matter to me how they do it
notice it doesnt say a name of a brand, a model, a vehicle type hell it doesnt even say if it has 4 wheels. it says "tend." believe it or not mr. know it all not all vehicles have drain plugs for their trannys.

fyi late model mbzs and bmws have NON-SERVICABLE transmissions. i just confirmed this with a tech that has 20 years experience. so STFU already.

somewhat
the new benzes have "lifetime fill" trannies that supposedly should never have thier oil changed. its probably synthetic. im not sure what the clutches and and internal components friction materials are made out of but im skeptical, because the normal operation of the trnsmission will have friction materials being abraded off and contaminating the oil. where does that material go? and why would you want to have it sitting in your oil, after say a good 80000 miles or so? and posibly circulating and getting into the valve body? i know that the transmissions are now electrically controlled, but they still have valve bodies with very fine tolerances.
ive got a wait and see attitude about this.some people say they would change it anyway, others say do what the engineers say.
i think mercedes, in their haste to be a technology leader, bit off more than they could chew. time will tell.
