Coolant temp. sensor location??

Where on the radiator (or where ever its supposed to be) is the coolant temp. sensor located on a 260E? I'm still troubleshooting this auxilliary fan problem. I've begun replacing parts that could be the problem, I'm tired of running hot and not being able to use my A/C in stop and go traffic. Thanks in advance.

The temp sensor on my car is on the thermostat housing. Check the resistance hot and cold. On mine it's something like 3800 ohms and 240 ohms.

Have you checked the fan motor itself? Disconnect it from the system and apply 12v direct from the battery.

lots of cars
The temp sensor for the aux fan is located by the cold start valve. Its green with three poles on it. The fuel injection temp sensor wich controls the coldstart valve and starting it by the 6th cyl at the back of the engine. It's also green but has two poles.
