i dunno about the offset # but the 17x7.5 is what i am running on mine. i think ashman and cali have the 411 on the offsets. oops even chris might know because he just bought some amg hammer wheels.

Eric, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to fit up to 235's all around but the rear might be tricky since it is according to the AMG Hammer's Manual. Ask Alon, lol. He's pro when it comes to rubbing issues.

Looks great Eric.. colormatch your grill red but leave the chrome strips..
You can go up to 18x8.5 with stretched out 215/40's with rolled fenders. Or 225/40's with my fender spacer kit.

17x7.5 et 35 with 225/45/17 rubber will work fine.
I had 17x7.5 et 30 with 225/45/17 rubber and ti was fine..
Now I have 17x8 et 28 with 225/45 rubber and I gotta do work to make it not rub

GDTM,
thanks for the link but those AMG spacers are junk compared to mine.
See how hard their polyurethane is. Poly tends to dry out quick and turn brittle, while mine is are rubber. Also AMG spacers are not adjustable while mine you can adjust 3x different ways.

those spacers wont do anything for the rear of the car....
Benz kit iis nice because it has varying thicknesses.
But the spacer kits only work ont he front.
My rubbing in the rear needs to have the rear fender flared out 25 degrees.

but your wheels may have a different offset... If I had 17x7.5 with an et of 37, and rolled fender, then probably no rubbing either. Also your tires are the wrong size.
235/40//17 is less rolling diameter and therefore your speedo is off.
225/45/17 is a perfect match rolling diameter wise compared tot he stock 15's.
235/45/17 too is also a good match rolling diameter wise.

I don't think your mileage would be off by too much. Take a look at the tire size calculator here: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

federal law regulating vehicle speedometers states that a manufactureres speedometer MAY NOT indicate a speed less than the vehicle is actually doing, but may indicate up to 10% more that it is.
most speedometers are actually over. you think youre doing seventy, well, you're not, youre probably doing 66 or 67. some manufactureres are more likely to be closer to the actual speed (porsche) on the OE size tires than others.
so regardless of the indicated speed, you are probably doing less than you think you are, but not much less.
i have 205/65-15s on my car, one size larger than OE, and im comfortably below the indicated speed as the difference is 2%.

Wheels size question
I'm going to buy a set of wheels for my 320TE. Size of the wheel is 17x7.5 ET35 (front) and 17x8.5 ET35(rear) and I decided the tires size is 215/45/17(front) and 235/40/17(rear). Can anybody advice my decision?
Thanks
Thanks

Look at my wagon...my rear fenders are rolled, but I'm running 245s out back.
