rolling rear fenders?

ive rolled the front fenders, and with patience and care, it was a piece of cake. no rubbing issues anymore from the front. the back fender lips seem different though. the lip protrudes a lot farther out than the front and the sheet metal seems a heck of a lot thicker in back. anybody rolled the rears before and if so, any special considerations to take? thanks

thanks neanderthal. i am aware of the thread, especially since i posted in it. just wondering if there were any special considerations for the rear fenders due to the nature of the metal and the way the lip is shaped back there.

I was wondering the same, cause the rear wheel well isn't rounded like desired, it becomes square like at some points

I did my rears with a hammer, but I wouldn't recommend anytone doing it my way. mine was out of desperation... but it works. I bought a fender rolling tool, so I will be doing the fronts myself when the tool comes in, and redoing the rears witht he tool over.

rolling rears

... I believe that the trick to successfully rolling th rear ones , which is thicker, is to make sure that the fender lip temperature is betweeen 135-140 degrees - very warm to touch Then you may proceed with the rolling- 4 inches @ a time if you have to. MAke sure it's pre-warmed-- monitor the temp with a laser pointer temp gauge. TAKE YOUR TIME and remember -- only heat up the lip.
