Seattle 300e newbie post

Hello all,

I just got my 92 300e about 2 weeks ago. I am looking for a good detailer in the Seattle area, for a buff out. The previous owner ran the car through the car wash every other fillup. So I have the nice brush marks in the paint. It's the original paint still. Is it a single stage or a base/clearcoat for the 92's?

Also looking for a undercarriage steam clean.

Once it is buffed out, I will take some pics and get them posted in the pic thread.

Also need a good shop for an alarm and some speaker upgrades. It is bone stock except for some 17" SLK wheels I put on.

If there is a Seattle gathering of 300 owners drop me a line too!!

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Smokie,

I too do my own detailing, but were in an apartment now, so no garage for a paint buff. I could do it outside but it's Seattle, if any sprinkles or rain starts while I am doing it... I'm sure I can't get these brush marks out by hand, unless I get a buffer anyways. It would just be eaiser if I pay a Professional to do it for me, then I can maintain it Myself for years.

I hope I can get some other posts from Seattle owners.

Thanks,

Ron

I got the car buffed out at Park Place ltd in Bellevue. Actually I got the full deal meal, interior, exterior engine steam. It looked great when I picked it up, but it was overcasty out. The next day I saw leftover compound here and there. As I was wiping it off I realized there was ever more to clean. They also did a have assed job on the interior glass. Needless to say I am not impressed with their Attention to Detail. Maybe because it's not worth $50k+?? I need to call them about it tomorrow to get it done right.

I posted a couple of pics in the 124 pic thread. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...3&page=9&pp=50
